The contest received over 3,700 poems from 45 states, the District of Columbia, and eight foreign countries. The winners of the 2004 contest have been announced. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2005. Reading fees are: $10 for the first three poems $15 for up to six poems and $2.50 for each additional poem. Multiple and simultaneous submissions are allowed. The prize for poetry is accepting all original, unpublished poems in all styles, from experimental to traditional forms. This contest is a living memorial to his life and work. Robinson Jeffers was an American poet who glorified nature and saw the human race as holding a tragic place in the universe.
